Golden Rules For Unsing Autoresponders
Thou Shalt Not Use an Autoresponder Address When Submitting to Search Engines.
Since you will most likely submit your site to search engines such as Google or Yahoo!, directories, classifieds, and free for all sites, you should be made aware of the fact that these sites commonly use an autoresponder as well. If you were to use your autoresponder to contact these companies, their autoresponder will reply to yours and so on and so on. Thus creating a cycle of autoresponses that will flood your email box and theirs as well.
Thou Shalt Not Use an Autoresponder to Subscribe to Ezines or Discussion Forums.
Since most of the time an Ezine will send you updates and new information regularly, your auto responder will send them a message each time. In a discussion forum, every person in the discussion forum will receive your auto response. This can be irritating and most of the time you will be unsubscribed. It is often hard for the administrators of the forum or ezine to determine who is using the autoresponse and therefore it is simply common courtesy to never use an autoresponer in this manner.
Thou Shalt Not Use an Autoresponder to Take Advantage Of Unsuspecting Individuals.
Some very unprofessional companies will use autoresponders to respond to an automated message when this is done the address in the “from” field will be automatically subscribed to their mailing list. This is a extremely un ethical use of autoresponders and those who do it are in jeopardy of creating a very negative image of themselves and their company. Rather than promote their service or business, this usually leads to people becoming very upset and spreading a negative word about your company rather than a good one.
The Internet can be a great place to do business and autoresponders can be an excellent way to save time, however when used in an unprofessional way, they can lead to frustration and aggravation for others. Your company will suffer the loss of much business if you choose to participate in these abusive practices. The appropriate use of auto responders can generate a large amount of business, while inappropriate use can drive away that business.
11 Proven Methods For Maximizing Your Business (While You Sleep) By Using The Magic Of Autoresponders
Well people who've discovered the magic of autoresponders don't even do that anymore, because when the money rolls in it's automatically sent to their bank accounts...they just laugh!
If you don't know what an 'autoresponder' is, it's simply an 'email automatic responder'.
But the simplicity stops there, because autoresponders are probably the single greatest business innovation to happen since the birth of the Internet.
They have completely revolutionized what can be done.
And you can use them too, to make an instant impact on your business.
So here are eleven proven methods for maximizing your business, even when you're fast asleep, using the magic of autoresponders.
1. Instead of answering every customer question that's sent to you, publish a "Frequently Asked Questions" using your autoresponder. This saves you time, money and effort.
2. Use them like a library. Make all your past newsletters or promotional pieces available from your autoresponders. Visitors appreciate having access to your archives.
3. Create an email training course in several parts delivered by autoresponder. This automatically builds a relationship with your prospects which positively influences their decision to become your customers. To see an autoresponder training course in action send an email to trainingcourse@aweber.com and you'll receive a course showing you the '20 Quick Tips' on how to use training courses to increase your traffic and sales.
4. Collect valuable customer satisfaction information by publishing a survey via autoresponder. People like to give their opinions and you benefit from this by knowing what your customers want.
5. Publish reports with your autoresponder. The reports should be related to your business or web site. Giving away good content will quickly increase your traffic. This gives you greater exposure, makes you an instant authority and ultimately results in more sales.
6. Provide instant customer acknowledgement to those who send you a message. Let the autoresponder message reassure them you have received their message and when to expect your reply.
7. Offer an e-book through your autoresponder in easy to read chapters. You could include promotional resource links covering each chapter of the book when delivered.
8. Create an index of all the information which is available from your autoresponders. Then set this up as an autoresponder to enable your customers to retrieve the particular information they are interested in.
9. Publish a complete list of all your products and services which you offer with their order forms and other sales material. Consider including a time sensitive discount coupon code in the autoresponder message to stimulate more sales.
10. Convert your entire web site into autoresponder format. Visitors may not want to stay online reading web pages. Give them the option of downloading all the information from your autoresponder to print off and read at their leisure.
11. Upload all your testimonials, endorsements and articles to your autoresponder if you don't have space in your advertising copy. The more interactive you make the experience for your prospects the more sales you will likely make.
Now that you have eleven sure-fire ways to use autoresponders in your business, the most pressing consideration is how to implement them without it becoming a headache.
As with any vital business operation, rock solid reliability is the most important factor when choosing what kind of autoresponder solution to go for.
In autoresponder terms this is deliverability of your messages and information. There's little point using autoresponders if what you send out ends up in a virtual black-hole because of vicious Internet Service Providers' anti-spam filters.
That's why when choosing how to implement autoresponders in your business you must check on the solutions deliverability.
It is the absolute key for a service you can put your trust in.
Autoresponders: Automatic Internet Marketing Success
Since there are so many different uses for autoresponders, they can be of value to virtually any type of business. Some choose to use the autoresponders to answer frequently asked questions about a product or service. Others use them to provide information about pricing or product information. Autoresponders are also a nice way to welcome new members to a website or group as well as thank them after a visit.
One might ask what would be the advantage of using autoresponders as opposed to simply listing the information on the site. An important feature of autoresponders is that they send you an email notification each time a response is sent out. This allows you to track the success of your promotions as well as have the email addresses of potential customers at your fingertips so that you can easily send out updated and new information to them.
It is of the utmost importance to choose an effective autoresponder. An autoresponder should be as personal as possible and send out follow-ups to potential customers since it has been proven that persistence pays off. It could take up to seven contacts before a final sale is conducted. Generally speaking an advertisement should be short and to the point. However, in this case, the customer has asked to see this specific information and therefore an effective autoresponder should allow you to place as much text on the page as you desire. The autoresponder that you choose should provide automatic updates to customers free of charge.
The autoresponder is one Internet marketing tool that will not cost you an arm and a leg. You can get free autoresponders online from several sources. The automatic responses will be a welcome addition to your marketing strategy and will help to automatically increase traffic to your site all while you do nothing. Be sure that the one you choose includes all the extras that will send you site to the top and your profits through the roof.
How I Use Email Automatic Responders
important marketing tool I have to make money online. The first
would be my hosting company. Without these 2 tools my internet
marketing business is dead in the water.
In the world of internet marketing, millions of sites are
fiercely competing with each other to gain new clients. For any
ecommerce site to succeed, it must capture the interest and the
trust of its visitors. It is not enough that your site is
perfectly designed or has the latest in animation of content.
You should focus your efforts not only in attracting visitors
but also in leading them to make a purchase. There are dozens of
marketing strategies you can use to attract more buyers and pump
up your sales. One of them is by establishing an excellent and
professional reputation for prompt and efficient response.
As more potential customers visit your site, you should expect a
flood of inquiries and requests for information. This is an
excellent opportunity for you to capture more clients and lead
them to buying from your site. Thus, it is important that you
carry out an efficient and prompt response to every email you
receive. The fastest and most effective way to do this is by
utilizing an email automatic responder.
Autoresponder services use a computer program that automatically
return a prewritten message to anyone who sends an email to your
site. It is widely used for responding to consumer inquiries and
visitor comments and suggestions.
Follow up automatic responders are also used by e-zines in
responding to people who subscribe or unsubscribe to their
online magazines. Companies, who send out their e-newsletter
regularly, also use utoresponders.
How can effective autoresponder services help boost your
business? The answer lies in its ability to return a prompt
response to any e-mail the site receives. By responding rapidly
and efficiently, you create a very good impression on your
potential customer. Good email autorespondrs help you get
important information back to these customers immediately. An
effective autoresponder service helps you communicate your
message promptly, creating a sense of professionalism and
efficiency that your clients will definitely appreciate.
Another very important advantage of email automatic responders
is that it saves time with multiple marketing tasks. Certainly,
you do not have enough time to personally make and send all
correspondence. Autoresponder services allows you to send thank
you letters, newsletters, product information, brochures, orders
etc. to hundreds of clients almost immediately and
simultaneously. Autoresponder services are also indispensable in
any email marketing campaign.
Choosing the right autoresponder is very important. What makes
the best automatic responder? First, you should pick an
autoresponder that is reliable and can give you 24/7 service.
You cannot afford to lose a customer because your autoresponder
failed to answer his query or request for information. The
ability to respond promptly is the first thing you must look for
in any automatic responder.
Another key factor you should consider when choosing
Autoresponder servcies is flexibility. Good autoresponders allow
you to customize unique responses that will have maximum effect
on the customer. You should avoid creating an impression that
the customer is communicating with a machine instead of a real
human being.
An excellent email automatic responder lets you provide the
information that is specifically targeted for what the potential
customers are looking for. Because any email from potential
customers essentially represent the customer's intent on getting
more information about your product, which can ultimately lead
to direct sales, all emails are important. Thus, a top
Autoresponder servcie must fulfill all these duties to help you
boost your business.
For all of our autoresponder needs we prefer Aweber. They are
very reasonably priced and have proved to be reliable and easy
to use.
How To Fully Automate Your Website So You Don't Waste Time Working
When I first started my online business, I didn't know what an autoresponder was, and I was intimidated by setting one up on my site. I simply had an HTML form set up that would send e-mail address of people that wanted my newsletter straight to my inbox. I can only imagine the amount of money that I was leaving on the table. I had no way of responding back to my potential customers. When I saw a newsletter signup come into my inbox, I would copy and paste a reply back to them.
The times have changed. Not only is the above situation not acceptable, but there's no way you can effectively grow your business without an autoresponder.
After all, since you now have your website set up to sell your e-book, you are going to need a way to handle the various types of correspondence being sent to you from potential customers.
Autoresponders are an effective and economical innovation (software program) designed to “respond” to any messages a website receives. Thousands of online businesses use autoresponders to send a confirmation “thank you” notice when anyone registers with their email address on the site. Think of them as an answering machine for your website.
Using an autoresponder is a critical component to having a successful ebook business. Not only do you need to respond to messages and inquiries, you must implement an email sales campaign to promote your ebook. If you were to try to manage the emails yourself, the task will eventually become impractical and extremely time consuming. You could hire someone to answer them, but when your site is receiving several hundred hits a day with an average of 50% registering to receive more information; you would need to hire several people thus making the cost very prohibitive. In business, “time is money and money is time”, and online, and autoresponder is the only solution.
If you do not have an autoresponder, you will lose sales, and lots of them. If you are not using an auto email program to get these non-committals to return to your site, you will not be able to sell your ebook to them. It's really as simple as that.
How does an autorepsonder work? By utilizing the information you input into the programs, the Autoresponder will automatically answer any email or sign-up your site receives. You can even program a variety of responses and how many times you want to send your customers an email; plus any sales receipts, download information and access, support problems – can all be effectively handled by an autoresponder. Obviously if there is a support situation, you or your webmaster will need to step in and fix the problem, but the autoresponder can easily let the customer know that someone will be emailing them soon to help.
Due to the nature of your business (e-book sales), you will need a variety of email autoresponses depending upon the situation. A typical list of responses for an e-book sales site might include some or all of the following:
1) Thank you response for visiting and signing up;
2) Free newsletter emailed to all sign-ups;
3) Special offer emails to entice purchase;
4) Purchase notification/invoice;
5) Thank you for purchasing;
6) Informing of your newest e-book;
7) Offer free course/bonus for signing up;
8) Notification of problems/complaints received from customers;
9) Notification of feedback received.
Basically the uses of the program are endless, in fact anything that you would want emailed to several customers can be handled through an autoresponder. And just like the almost limitless uses, there are a vast number of autoresponder companies vying to handle your e-business correspondence.
Many sites have free autoresponder programs available which handle minimal email tasks; however because you are trying to sell ebooks, you should look for a system or service that does not limit the capabilities of your emails. Make sure you get unlimited email size plus you will need the ability to send multiple emails to the same person over a period of time. Remember, the reason for sending several emails over a course of time is based on the fact that most customers (about 60% - 70%) do not purchase on their first visit. If they are interested in learning more about your ebook, they will sign up for more information. And this is when you use an autoresponder to send multiple targeted information emails to drive those reluctant customers back to your site for the purchase. You will also want to have the ability to track your emails to assess the effectiveness of such a campaign. We use www.aweber.com and www.getresponse.com is also a good solution.
The messages you will want to send will depend upon the reason for the need to respond. One way you can handle this by having multiple email addresses for your site. Here is a short list of email addresses you will need:
1) support@yoursite.com
2) Yourname@yoursite.com
3) Yourassistant@yoursite.com
4) sales@yoursite.com
If you need additional addresses, do not hesitate to set them up and use them; the more you categorize your customer's emails, the better you, your webmaster and your autorepsonder program will work. The autoresponder will know the difference between newsletter sign-ups, customer logins, purchases, and so on. This is all configured in the program, as is sending notification emails for receipt of a customer's inquiry at one of your listed email addresses. Again, you or your webmaster will manually have to answer any inquiries received at a site listed address. Unfortunately at this moment in time, autoresponders cannot read and answer emails. I would imagine that sometime in the not too distance future this will become a possibility. One can always hope!
Now you understand why autoresponders are an important if not critical ingredient in developing a productive, functioning, 24/7 e-book sales site. Using one will help increase your sales, drive those hesitant potential customers back to your site and take care of those everyday tasks associated with having a professional and courteous Internet business. Offering excellent customer service is a significant business building tool, especially for online businesses when a customer assesses you and your site faster than you realize.
Do Your Autoresponders Drive Your Customers Crazy?
A chained auto-responder is a sequence of emails that gets delivered automatically when someone subscribes to this autoresponder.
It is used in marketing to deliver mini-advertisements, teaser courses, demo extracts, testimonials or stepped sales letters, and all of this is designed to get the client eventually to click on the "buy me now" link for the main product that is being promoted.
There are three main problems with chained auto-responders. Avoid these, TEST your linked auto-responders before you inflict them on the general public, and you should see significant increases in your sales.
Problem No. 1 - No Content Beyond Selling
This is THE most VIOLENTLY annoying class of chained autoresponders - message after message from the same place, trying to sell you something, in so many different words. YUCK!
What marketers who don't THINK seem to forget is that folk who own and manage PCs and email aren't that stupid.
They can read and write, you know, and they are not IDIOTS.
After two or three repeats, they will immediately delete such messages from their inbox and probably put a spam block on the sender domain for good measure.
That's not what the marketeer had in mind, I should wager ...
Problem No. 2 - Too Little Content
I remember one "mini course" which contained nothing but teasers and virtually no useful information whatsoever.
Once again, look, marketeers!
If you want people to "try" the product, you need to give them at least a little taste of it.
Don't hold the glass with the sample wine under their nose, and when they reach out, oops, that'll be $875 dollars please ... but we do have a "money back" guarantee ...
This is just ANNOYING, it's even dishonourable and an angry person does not make a good customer.
Problem No. 3 - Too Much, Way Too Much ...
I subscribed to another auto-responder teaser mini course just a few days ago, and here, the folks in charge had done a 180' U-turn on the two points above, most likely because they got it that those content less/content poor efforts don't work to sell more of their product.
In their desire to have it be known how marvellously content packed the main item was, they created this huge long document, of at least 20, 25 paragraphs for the first instalment of their chained auto-responder.
Gee.
Now I don't know about the rest of the planet, but I'm actually quite a busy person and I get STACKS of emails every day.
I try and cut down the time I spent on dealing with email because it does get out of hand, and on this occasion I was into something else anyway.
I took just *one look* at the plethora of writing and went, "Oh god, I don't have time for that right now ..." and left it.
Have you ever left a non-priority email for later ...?
Yeah, you know what I mean.
But then, the very next day, the 2nd instalment arrived. I opened it and damn me, there's another REAM of goodness knows what, but now I've missed the boat because this is No. 2 and I haven't read No. 1 yet!
I hastily closed it, feeling guilty and moved on.
But then, No. 3 arrived - another book length instalment. I just couldn't handle it anymore.
I deleted the lot.
Now that's a terrible shame because there may have been valuable information I never got, and the guys who wrote this spend AGES doing it.
So, here are my suggestion for chained auto-responders copy.
1. Head it with, "Busy? Save me! I contain important information!" or words to that effect.
2. Keep it SHORT. Pick out ONE USEFUL thing and just - tell me THAT. So I can glance at it and say, "Hey, that's useful! Cool! Thanks, guys!" When I mean short, I mean anything above three paragraphs is way, way too long for an autoresponder email in this day and age.
3. Keep it TOTALLY FOCUSSED on the product you are selling. I'm on autoresponders where you wouldn't begin to guess for all the waffle, testimonials, side tracks and "personal messages" what I'm supposed to be BUYING at the end of the day!
4. Give people a chance to keep up. Space your messages three days, don't inundate us. Or better still, test this for yourself. One hell of a lot of "internet marketing wisdom" is completely out of date now because it was researched back in the days when we got four emails a week, and not fourteen thousand each. Time has moved on and requires NEW thinking, and different strategies.
My last tip on chained autoresponders is as follows.
Subscribe yourself to OTHER PEOPLE'S efforts.
Don't look at them as a marketeer would, but as though you were a human being in front of their computer, if you know what I mean by that.
You can learn what pleases and what works, and what doesn't.
Mark out to yourself what you like and use this in your own efforts, and avoid what really turns you off.
Lastly, keep working at your chained autoresponder copy until you have something that really works, and really brings in lots more sales.
They are a great resource - if handle them right.
Automate Your Internet Business for Passive Revenue In 5 Easy Steps
In fact, the average person, at least, those who live in metropolitan areas, is exposed to more than 3,500 marketing messages a day. That's 24,500 messages a week and 1.2 million each year.
And to make online sales even more difficult, marketing studies have shown that it takes nine or more impressions for your business to be remembered by a potential customer. This means follow-up is essential. But in today's world this type of relentless follow up for the average business owner is not often practical. Fortunately there is a solution that many online businesses are using every day – online marketing automation.
Imagine being able to capture new leads on your website, build customer confidence through automated sequential responses, deliver products digitally while you sleep and track all of your prospects and clients without lifting a finger. For thousands of online businesses this happens every day.
In today's competitive environment, automation is not a luxury; it's a requirement for keeping the competitive edge you need. In fact, the benefits of automation are so numerous you can't afford to ignore them.
Five Keys to Online Success:
1. Capture Email Addresses. Your list is your goldmine. It is critical to all your marketing and is literally your most valuable asset. To build your mailing list it is essential that you make a compelling offer. “Sign up for my mailing list” is no longer enough. Try something like this: “Free Special Report: The 5 Keys to Dramatically Boosting Your Website Traffic in 30 Days”
Through online automation you can offer digitally downloaded special reports, e-newsletters, mini-educational courses, or free trials to entice visitors to share their name and email. When their data is entered, it is automatically placed in your database and can be programmed to trigger autoresponders which are one or multiple automated messages. Share your privacy policy below your opt-in box as well as assurance that they can unsubscribe at any time. And of course, never spam anyone.
2. Set Up Sequential Autoresponders. A very effective way to build trust with your prospects is to offer a mini-course which delivers content-rich, relevant information to your opt-in subscribers. These automatically-distributed email messages not only provide content, but also motivate prospects to revisit your site for the latest offers. And of course once they click through to your website you can offer more content delivered via audio, video and other multi-media options as well as offers for your products and services.
Since studies shows that 48% of sales people give up after the first contact and 25% after the second, this is a perfect way to make sure your follow-up stays consistent. Best of all, after you program the series it will perform flawlessly for you for years to come. There are many great automated systems on the web like: http://www.EasyWebAutomation.com
3. Take Payments Online. It has never been easier or more affordable to set up online payment systems through PayPal or your own merchant account. And once you set up your payment account it very easy to sell products or services online by purchasing an online shopping cart. A shopping cart will allow you to capture email addresses, automate responses, track leads and then sell you product to customers around the world 24/7. These systems are surprisingly easy to setup, operate and maintain.
4. Track and Measure Your Marketing. Over the years I have trained and coached hundreds of business owners in marketing through my Guerrilla Marketing Coaching Program. Through a series of assessments it has become very clear that most businesses fall short in the area of measurement.
Here are some questions to consider:
1) How many unique visitors come to your website?
2) How many visitors opt-in to your mailing list or order your products?
3) When you send emails, how many are opened and how many people actually click through to your website?
The reason these metrics are so important is because if you don't know these stats, you won't know what to improve. It could be variables like the pulling power of your headlines, the copy or navigation on your website. You won't know until you start measuring. Many of today's automated systems include ad trackers which automatically calculate your click-throughs and conversion statistics.
5. Free Up Your Time to Work on the Most Important Parts of Your Business
When you automate daily tasks you gain more time to focus on priorities for the strategic growth of your company. This newfound discretionary time comes without your money-making activities coming to a halt, or hiring and training staff.
Also when your business becomes automated, your presence becomes optional leaving you time to actually take a vacation while making money at the same time. With most systems you can quickly and easily check your sales and orders from any web browser.
The Internet is a competitive, ever-changing marketplace. The right strategy combined with powerful and practical systems gives you an edge over your competitors. You'll attract more customers and spend less time, money and energy winning them over. Automation services and software leverage the best technology available to make you money day and night, whether you're there or not.
Kick-Starting E-mail Profits Growth From One Single Shot!
Sooner or later, you'll face the same challenge: how to build a list of qualified, targeted prospects from scratch.
When it comes to building an e-mail list, online marketers tend to spread on too many options. Offen, they neglect to focus on a single promotion 'till the end
and exploit to the fullest potential. Here's an example.
Suppose you run a newsletter and have a web page or popup
window which invite prospects to subscribe. As a reward
for giving their e-mail address, you offer them a bonus.
That's fine -- but not enough! You are loosing money simply
by leaving empty profit places in your message.
Wouldn't be nice to build actually 3 different mailing lists
from one "stroke"? Of course! For better understanding, I'll
stick with the same newsletter example. So, clear-up your
newsletter invitation and insert couple of extra carefully
selected phrases. Follow these steps:
Step #1 --> Insert a Newsletter Subscription
Obviously, this is your primer objective. A new subscriber
is a potential new source of profit. It is a common sense to
tell people what to expect up front. The more relevant seems
your offer to the desired relationship, the better.
Step #2 --> Insert a Special Report
Be smart: upload your report to an autoresponder. The trick
is to provide high-quality content AND an offer that will
earn you a profit!
You know the rest: the autoresponder send out automatically
additional reports and follow-up messages to those who get
the initial report. The results: more sales and profits.
Step #3 --> Insert an eCourse
Each lesson of the eCourse provides at least one offer (and
usually multiple offers) for the reader to consider. Many
buy, some don't. But it's another automated profit system.
Step #4 --> Insert a Mystery Bonus
Mystery bonus? Yes! People universally love mystery. Be sure
you won't let the prospects know what is all about up until
they subscribe.
What you need at this point: an ebook that is coded with
your own affiliate links! (Psst... invite them to pass it
out as an incentive!)
The final results: 3 separate lists (from newsletter
subscription, special report, and ecourse) and a viral
marketing tool (the mystery ebook)! Everything easy to set-
up and ready to upload to your web site in less than an hour
of work. Not bad!
Things to remember BEFORE you implement this e-mail
marketing strategy:
- be accurate and clear with your messages.
- spell out features/benefits/advantages in your offer.
- don't go only after e-mail list quantity. Your e-mail list
should balance QUALITY with QUANTITY issues.
- ALWAYS provide high-quality content.
- implement your system ON EVERY PAGE of your web site.
- always use professional sequential autoresponders to
PERSONALIZE each of your e-mail messages.
- test subject lines and messages until you get the highest
results.
- check your messages to make sure links work properly.
- use high quality graphics to first-impress.
- NEVER forget to 'THANK YOU' prospects once they give you
their e-mail address.
- ALWAYS allow prospects to self-remove from your e-mail
lists.
eMail Follow Up System in 3 Easy Steps!
A LIST
Actually the more lists you have the better off you are. BUT
the key isn't just having several general lists, you want to have
as many targeted lists as you can.
What do I mean by that??
Well, ummm for all you health and nutritional product people
out there your targeted lists could be based around each of
the specific products you offer. Those in themselves make up
a "list."
If you are selling information products, then the theme or
topic of each of your books/courses can make a sub or
targeted list.
Don't look at your products/services as a group, break them
down (if you can) and think of them in terms of a targeted
group of people (or list). For each group you will send out
the initial information request and then your follow up will
involve specific information catering to that group.
That follow up is pretty straightforward. I mean if you
have a product that is based to help migraine suffers then
you wouldn't later send a mailing to that list about a new
product that deals with asthma...they don't relate or tie
in. You keep sending that list information relating to
suffering from migraines.
There is one other list that you could be building and
that is one that involves a one-time request for information.
For example; if you decided to create a list of 50 eZines
Directories, a person hits your autoresponder once to get
that list. Or how about the second part of your two-part
article - again a person that hits your autoresponder is
after that one-time request.
How on earth do you follow up with these people, when
they didn't subscribe to receive regular mailings?
That is what we are going to go over today. A 3-step
follow up system which will turn these one-time requests
into yet another viable list for you ;o)
So, let's get at it ;o)
Step 1 - First or Initial Contact
This is the information that you are firing out after
they have hit your autoresponder.
You have two ways you can go here. You can either:
let the person that you are going to send them future
information that is RELATED to the information they
have requested here. Or, you don't say a thing at all.
Best course of action is to tell them upfront...be totally
open and honest from the get go. Remember people do
business with people they know, like and trust and if
you aren't trusting...you've lost them.
Having said that, you still need to give them a chance
to opt-out of receiving more information...here is a
sample to give you something to look at and use.
SAMPLE...
Hi ~~NAME~~ (remember personalize)
Just wanted to send you out the information you requested
about the 55 no cost marketing resources. I have listed them
all below and I hope you find them useful.
In a few days I'll be sending you over a special article
that I wrote "The Key to No Cost Marketing." Look for that
to come in about three days.
I've spent a lot of time researching marketing tactics and
looking for good solid resources that work. I'll be glad to
share this information with you, if you want me to.
If you don't want to receive these additional strategies and
resources then you can click the REMOVE ME link below.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.
Look forward to sharing this information with you, take
care and good luck with your eBusiness.
Sincerely,
Denise Ryder
So what we have here is your prospect receiving the initial
information that they requested AND we have let them
know that there is more to come and if they don't want to
receive it then, they can of course, opt out.
Most will stay because you have given them a good reason to
(remember it's the WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME), a preview of
what's to come.
Step 2 - Automate
You're probably thinking, yup I know I need an autoresponder
in order to do this. Of course you do, that goes without saying.
But, you need to see the bigger picture here. You have a prospect
that has received the information and you have indicated that there
is more "to come." That "more to come" is what I am referring to.
Make sure you have it already to go and uploaded into your
autoresponder.
Yup, ya got to think ahead...there is no room for "fly-by-the seat
of your pants" marketing here. Sit down and plan out a 7 message
follow up for this list and have it loaded and ready to go.
Leave some time between each mailing...something like between
7-10 days. Remember this isn't your general list, this is a targeted
one with specific information and of course specific offers geared
to them.
Through these 7 messages your goal is to keep building upon the
information that they prospect originally requested. You know they
are interested because they hit your autoresponder in the first
place, right ;o)
So give them the good, solid content RELATING to the original
that they requested.
In our example above I would keep providing them with information
concerning no cost marketing resources. I would send the article
as I said I would and then the other 6 messages would perhaps
look at what to spot in a good no cost marketing resource, how
to test a resource, how to track the results, and how to use
the information they have gathered to make money. All the
while I mention that there is STILL MORE to come and of
course provide them with the opt-out option at all times.
I also can weave in my offers and because of the way I
have set my system up, these offers come in the form of
recommendations, there is no hard sell tactics happening
here.
Step 3 -Special Mailings
Ok, we have a sublist with a theme of no cost marketing
resources. As I release a new product (based on this theme)
or find more resources to share, then I will send out a
special mailing with this information.
The idea is that these are "special" so they are not to
be used as some form of "mass or blast" marketing tactic.
What we have done with these people is built a good solid
relationship with them. We have sent them fantastic info
that they can use and we keep building by providing them
with even more information and over-delivering. Why would
we want to then ruin all that by blasting them every week...
WE DON'T.
These special mailings should be limited to using them
twice a month. It stands to reason that some months you may
not use them at all. But in this case the idea is that it is special
so make it good. Keep the momentum of good solid information
and tie in a good offer.
A good rule of thumb is to think in these terms...
A good mailing is something that benefits the list member and
the list owner. It has to be a win/win for both or it just won't
work.
When you are thinking in terms of lists, you have to realize that
a list can come from anywhere. It is just a matter of seeing it.
As I mentioned above, think of your products/services as little
individual lists. Break them down and build a sublist around
each products theme.
Do it right and you may find a little niche where you didn't
realize it…now how cool is that!!
If you want to gain some further insight into a few more tactics
like this one, then read "How To Become Wildly Successful
Online." This eBook will give you some great ideas.

Passive Income Secrets Revealed - How to Create A New Stream of Automated Passive Income in Less Than 24 Hours
Passive income on the internet is not a myth. But many
people are convinced it is...
Why? Because they don't understand the true meaning of
passive income.
What is automated, passive income? It's a major benefit
that comes from taking the initial action required to set up
a truly automated system for passive income.
As you read every word of this article, you will learn how
to set up a fully-automated "Passive Income Generator"
based on these three elements:
a) An affiliate product to promote
b) Your Passive Income Engine
c) Multiple streams of targeted traffic
Ready? Let's get started...
Step One: Find An Affiliate Product to Promote
Why an affiliate product? Because in order to have a truly
automated system for passive income generation, you need to
focus on driving traffic, building your list, and
increasing your conversion from pre-sales tactics. It can
be very difficult to create a passive income generator with
your own product, because you still have customer support
issues, email issues, refund requests to fulfil, JV
requests... the list goes on and on. However...
When you're promoting an affiliate product, you can set up
the system once, never touch it again, and profit
automatically for years and years to come!
If you already have an affiliate product in mind, great! If
not, simply head over to the ClickBank Marketplace
(http://clickbank.com/marketplace) and locate an affiliate
product with high conversion, and a high ranking in the
Marketplace.
For this exercise, we've chosen to promote Simple-ology 101:
Mark Joyner's brand new HUGE online video course and
digital learning workshop. (see: http://www.Simple-ology.com
or you can send a blank email to: simpleology101@aweber.com
for more information and a free video course)
Your affiliate product owner may or may not have existing
promotional materials for you to use. If you're lucky
enough to get a few sample promo emails, you'll save
yourself some time and creative energy. If not, write your
own. Remember, once you set this up, it's gonna run on
autopilot. So you want to do it right.
Alternatively, we've met quite a few more-than-generous
affiliate product owners who are more than happy to write a
few promotional emails for you. You're going to be making
THEM money, so they shouldn't mind too much. :)
Got your affiliate link & promotional materials? Good. Now,
onto the next step...
Step Two: Set Up Your Passive Income Engine
In today's internet world, there's one thing that comes to
mind when someone mentions the word "automation"...
Autoresponders!
Autoresponders to this day, remain the #1 undisputed
champion of all passive income generators. Why? Because
they contain the very essence of what it takes to create
true passive income. You set it up once, enter your
promotional messages to go out sequentially over a period
of time, and then forget all about it -- you've got a
'simplified' Passive Income Generator! (send an email to:
simpleology101@aweber.com for a perfect example of this)
For this step, (you guessed it) you're going to need a
reliable autoresponder.
We highly recommend Aweber (http://jmskye.com/aweber)
because of all the systems we've tried, Aweber's unlimited
autoresponder capabilities, pure reliability and increased
email message delivery rates prove to be the best.
When you have your autoresponder, insert the promotional
emails and reminders you either received or wrote yourself
for your chosen affiliate product.
Set them each about 3 or 4 days apart. The more messages
you have, the better.
Think about this. What you're doing right now, is creating
a system that will automatically follow-up and remind your
future prospects again and again about whatever affiliate
product you choose to promote. At first, you only want to
choose ONE product to promote. Why? Because if 100% of your
messages are directed to your affiliate product, you're
going to be running at 100% promotional power!
When you're finished setting up your inital autoresponder
messages, it's time to create your web form. Write your call to action,
click a button and out pops the code to copy & paste into
your web page to create your web form.
Note: Half-way through creating your web form, you'll be
asked what page you want to re-direct to after a successful
subscription. Aweber has a default thank you page, but
you'll want to change that to your affiliate link. Now,
whenever a future prospect signs up to your web form,
they'll be immediately re-directed to your affiliate
product's sales page!
To complete your Passive Income Engine, you'll want to
create a new HTML file (we use Dreamweaver) and insert the
code for your web form. This will be a *very* simple web
page, containing:
a) An attention-grabbing headline
b) A powerful opening statement
c) A short list or description of benefits
d) A compelling call-to-action & web form
These four elements make up what Jonathan Mizel calls a
"Name Squeeze."
This specific configuration has accounted for
visitor-to-lead conversions of up to 60% in some cases! And
if your affiliate product's sales page does it's job of
converting well, you just might experience sales
conversions up to 10%!
Sound far-fetched? We used the exact steps you're reading
to build our first "test" name squeeze at
http://www.jmskye.com and we're getting a fairly steady
lead-to-sale conversion of as much as 10.2%! (If you're not
sure what this means, roughly 10 out of every 100 people
who sign up to our name squeeze end up buying our affiliate
product within 24-48 hours)
This brings us to the final element of our Passive Income
Generator...
Step Three: Create a Perpetual Targeted Traffic Machine
What the heck is a "Perpetual Targeted Traffic Machine?"
Simply put, a PTTM is a viral-based mechanism designed to
strategically pull a never-ending supply of laser-targeted
web visitors to your name squeeze.
In order to make this work effectively, you'll need to
integrate a few Viral Marketing strategies into the mix. We
suggest adding a small note at the end of each and every
email autoresponder message, allowing and even encouraging
the reader to tell others about your web site name squeeze.
Chances are, just because you add the note, people will act
on it. But if you want to increase your effectiveness
one-hundred fold, include an inscentive for telling others
about your web site. There are TONS of ways to do this, but
remember - you want to do it right the first time...
Here's a quick suggestion that works like crazy:
1) Go to http://www.GoArticles.com and gather 15-20+
articles relating to whatever subject matter or topic your
affiliate product is about. (make sure you have the
authors' permission before using any of their content)
2) Compile the articles into a single PDF document
(http://adobe.com) and give your new Special Report a
captivating title. Be sure to add your name and the link to
your web site name squeeze at the top, bottom and in the
middle of the document. Make *sure* it's clickable! (Hint:
You may also add a recommendation to your actual affiliate
product inside the PDF)
3) Make it VIRAL by using ViralPDF
(http://viralpdf.jmskye.com) to create a "brandable"
version of your Special Report, where the reader can enter
their name and web site as the "Sponsor" of the Special
Report, and give it away to their mailing list and web site
visitors.
4) Use a Tell-A-Friend script such as
http://tellafriend.jmskye.com to encourage your readers to
tell others about your site and in return, they get the
Rebranding Rights to your Special Report!
5) Get a free account with TrafficZap
(http://trafficzap.jmskye.com) and set up your account to
send targeted traffic to your name squeeze. Now, place the
code for your TrafficZap button into your web page. This
will cause you to effortlessly attract TrafficZap
affiliates, which literally puts traffic generation to your
name squeeze web page on autopilot.
Highly Recommended: For fast and maximum results, we advise
you to invest in a targeted visitor package from
TrafficZap. 99% of web sites offering this kind of service
are WORTHLESS and a complete waste of your time and
money... but our tests have shown that targeted traffic
sent through TrafficZap to a name squeeze actually converts
into sales!
6) This one's a no-brainer. Get your free account at
InstantBuzz and use this massively viral traffic generating
toolbar to send even more web visitors to your web site
name squeeze. You can also invest in their "1.3 Metric Tons
of Advertising" package and give yourself a lucrative sales
boost for cheap. (see: http://instantbuzz.jmskye.com)
7) For the truly passionate, we highly recommend you use a
new software program called ArticleSubmitterPro
(http://jmskye.com/aspro) --- submit at least one article
per week for six weeks, and in the signature box or even in
the article itself, create a logical tie-in to your name
squeeze web site. (Article writers are reporting major
increases in traffic within days of using this software -
we fully support the use of, and recommend this software.)
That is it... you are done! (well, almost)...
For your last step, you're going to want to PRINT THIS
ARTICLE. Keep it by your computer, and reference it often.
We realize many people are willing to pay for this
information we're openly giving to you for free...
We encourage you to make the best use of it. You haven't
actually followed the steps just yet... many people reading
this won't. But if you print it right now, you'll already
be miles ahead of the thousands who didn't. Want to get
even further ahead of the pack? Follow each step given in
this article after you print it.
Best of Success!
How to Make a Killing Online on a Shoestring Budget
Step 1: get products that sells like hot cakes. If you have a product then go to the next step to see how to market it. If you don't then find some high commission affiliate programs that do, so you will make money.
Tip: never pay to join an affiliate program until you know which ones are money makers. The highest paying ones are at the bottom of this article under the heading affiliate programs (most are free to join). Be careful the internet is full of scams!
Step 2: promote your product or affiliate program. The very first thing you should do is find a reliable email autoresponder. This way you can get subscribers and give instruction messages on how to sign up for your program or you can advertise your products automatically without spending hours sending emails to clients.
Tip: there are some excellent free autoresponders on the internet or you can use the one in my program which is already completely setup for you free.
Step 3: get subscribers to you autoresponder, why? Because you can't get sales or downlines on the internet without sending multiple emails to the same client. Now i know your going to be a bit discouraged when i tell you that you need to buy subscribers.
I am the first person who likes something for nothing but the cost of not doing this is profit. Don't worry this is the largest cost you will incur for now and after this step i will tell you some amazing advertising techniques that are free.
Details of where to buy subscribers are listed under the heading. List builders.
Step 4: write an article/s at www.ideamarketers.com about your site/s. It doesn't have to be too long or too professional but google will increase your sites ranking in the search engine. Important you must include the word free in the title.
Eg: I can prove this works! Go to google and type in deadly disease prevention. Click on deadly disease prevention, powerful supplements free info, it is currently number 2 as of the 09/04/2005. You will find my article.
Step 5: promote your ezine that you have setup in your autoresponder. Now go to google and search for ezine directories. Submit your ezine to at least 50 different directories. This will take you a while but it is a great free way to get subscribers.
Step 6: now submit your articles to as many places as you can. Search in google under article submission and try and submit in at least 50 different sites. Don't pay anyone to submit an article.
Step 7: send emails to email groups to advertise your ezine. Find as many groups as you can and send details of how to subscribe to your ezine (tip: send a sample copy of one edition in the email) to as many as you can starting with the ones below under the name email groups.
You can get up to 700 subscribers per week to your ezine using this method.
Congratulations!!! You have setup a huge marketing program, all of this will have taken a while however most of it is free!
Step 8: automate yours sales and follow up emails and watch you inbox get flooded with sales confirmations.
You can do this yourself however i suggest you get it automated or you will be spending all of your time sending emails instead of doing the most important thing you should be doing, marketing your site so that your business grows.
Break On Through To The Other Side
1. Create a directory of web sites on a specific topic. Give people the option of adding the directory to their web site by linking to it. Put your business advertisement at the top of the director's home page. This technique will get lots of people to linkto your web site and give you free advertising.
2. Do you have a product or service that doesn't sell good? Offer it as a free bonus for someone else's product or service. Get free advertising by placing your web site or business ad on the product or in the product package.
3. Trade autoresponder ads with other businesses. If both of you send out information with auto-responders just exchange a small classified ad to put at the bottom or top of each other's autoresponder message.
4. Start a free tip line. Offer a free daily, weekly, or monthly tip recorded on your voice mail. The tips should be related to your business. Include your ad for your web site or business at the beginning or end of your message.
5. Exchange content with other web sites and ezines. You could trade articles, top ten lists, etc. Both parties could include a resource box at the end of the content.
6. Offer to insert ads into your product package for other businesses. Just ask, in return that they do the same for your business. You should only trade insert ads with businesses that have the same target audience.
7. Offer a free daily class in your web site's chat room. The class should be related to the subject of your business or web site. This will get people to visit your web site everyday.
8. Do you have a product that doesn't sell good? Offer it as a free bonus for another businesses product or service. You'll get free advertising by placing your web site or business ad on the free bonus.
9. Place different emotional response ads for the same product or service all over your web site. One ad may hit their hot button to buy more than another ad.
10. Publish your e-zine in e-book format. You could offer a larger number of articles per issue. It also allows you to include graphics with your ezine.Your advertising revenue would increase because you could charge businesses for large color ads.
Run Profitable Contests Using Autoresponders
A contest could be as simple as spotting a word or a set of words within an e-zine's issue or searching for a graphic on a site. A contest can run for one issue, or it can last for a month or more.
If you plan to run a contest, make sure you have a "contest management response system" in place.
This could be as simple as an automated e-mail receipt to let your participants know their entry has been received.
Run a contest that asks your participants to send their responses to specific e-mail addresses. Then create an automated receipt confirmation for each account.
Include a link to your products, affiliate links, or services in your confirmation receipt.
Every time someone enters your contest and sends her entry, she receives a confirmation message. Thus, you've just exposed your products to your contestant.
Encourage multiple entries and your contest participants get exposed to your promotional texts multiple times.
Ok, what about contest prizes?
If you publish an e-zine and you sell advertising space, you can give away free ad space to the winners.
If you have your own product, or a product you have resell rights to, you can give away free copies of it to your winners.
If you have a service, why not put that up as a prize?
In any case, though, let your prospective contestants be interested in the prizes. Yes -- put the complete prize descriptions, along with the contest mechanics, on autoresponder too.
And then include links where they can purchase the prizes. Hey, some people might not want to wait to win your contest! So it's good to cover all bases.
Run a contest that lets autoresponders handle entries and confirmation receipts and you'll have a promotional tool that can bring in profits for you!
How To Find Deep Discount Pro Online Marketing Tools
Those who do use online tools are generally paying far too much for them because they haven't yet looked into the alternative. I'll tell you about that in a minute, but first...
What's the most important online tool we all need? A website, of course. No brainer. How else would potential online customers find out if we have what they need?
Next, we should at least have an autoresponder to help automate our marketing efforts and an ad tracker to keep track of which ads are pulling and which are a waste of time. These two are a "must have".
Hold up a minute...
Before we go any further, it's important to mention that I don't recommend using a complimentory autoresponder, ad tracker or any other no-cost marketing tool. You never really get something for nothing. We all understand that, right?
Who, in their right mind, is going to "give" you a professional marketing tool without somehow extracting something from you in return? A crazy multi-millionaire?
No-cost autoresponders, for example, usually have ads at the top of the message your responder sends out. Do you really want your potential customer to see someone else's ad on your promo message?
A good autoresponder generally costs around $20 monthly and a decent ad tracker around $20 a month. That's $40 for only two essential online tools. There's no long a need to pay that much!
Those who sell online tools at those prices will give all kinds of reasons why theirs are worth the high prices. And, maybe they are. If the product is good and the buyer is happy, I don't have a problem with them charging what the buyer will pay.
That's capitalism at work. We once paid those prices. Now we don't. We found a better way.
So, what is the alternative to paying high prices for online tools (without having to give up professional quality)?
It's called "bundled services". This is when a company takes multiple products or services and bundles them into a neat package so that the consumer gets several services at a considerable lesser price than if they bought them separately.
You've probably noticed the major telecommunications and TV cable companies bundling services over the past year. It's very effective. The consumer gets more for less and the companies sell more products and services. Both come out ahead.
Warning...
Look for an Internet marketing tools company that offers "solid" tools and not "fluff" or hype. Those that offer fluff are only interested in taking your money and giving you as little as possible. This increases their profits, but lightens your wallet and gives you little of substance in return.
Fluff stuff can be things like: eCourse training (instead of "live" support), an eBook bonus that you can get anywhere for nothing, "insider secrets" reports, Etc. Things that are not workable tools at all.
Solid tools are things like: an autoresponder & list manager, ad tracker, website hosting, URL rotator system, online conferencing system, "live" training & support, Etc. Workable tools and solid support that actually helps in building your business.
Note: There is nothing inherently wrong with eCourse training, eBooks, special reports or other informational products (in their right place). Trying to pass them off as a substitute for solid online marketing tools is not the right place.
The hallmark of a good online tools company (or any type of company) is one that operates on the "Golden Rule Principle". They give you more in product "use value" than what you pay.
The products or services will actually be useful in building your business and the seller makes sure that you receive an abundance of them.
This creates a happy and loyal customer who will tell their friends. The customer and seller both win. So do the friends. That's the way to run a business!
How can you know when you've found such a company? Look at the product usefulness. Are the tools solid or fluff? Are you getting your money's worth or paying for hype?
Are there any Internet marketing tool companies that operate on the Golden Rule Principle and have also bundled a useful arsenal of online tools at a really good price?
Not many. There are a few. Only one or two are extraordinary in that they give an abundance of solid tools at a really low price.
Do a Google search (or use your favorite search engine) and type in "Internet marketing tools". Now you know how to find and get the best online marketing tools deal for your online business.
Create Your Three Letter Autoresponder Follow-Up
People need to see your ad message several times before they buy. Those who buy on the first ad have already made up their mind after seeing someone else's ad. Yours had the good fortune of reaching the customer at just the right time.
You can greatly increase sales with a three letter multiple autoresponder. There are a number of places to get these autoresponders free (fastfacts.net, getresponse.com, smartbotpro.net) and others who sell up-graded service at low cost.
Make your first letter briefly present your offer. It should be designed to get attention and bring in those who tend to quickly make up their minds to buy.
Your second sales letter should arrive the next day. Make it longer and filled with details. About 70 percent of consumers are folks who need ALL the details before they will purchase. List your features and connect them with the benefit your customer will get from those features.
Your third sales letter should be scheduled to arrive several days later. Start with "Successful people are busy. I know you probably saw my earlier messages, considered them, but haven't yet had time to respond."
Then give them another rundown on your offer. Bring in a fresh angle so it doesn't seem like they are reading the same letter they saw a few days ago.
More than three sales letters tend to get ignored. If you want to send more, have your fourth and fifth letters arrive weeks or months later. Scheduling a new letter to arrive every month can catch a prospect when they're ready to buy.
Offer Your Own Email Course
One of the most successful marketing techniques I've found is offering your own course via autoresponders. I introduced my Make Your Website Sell course (yes, before MYSS came out) and it is still getting gobs of sign-ups every day.
Here is how to create yours:
1. Pick a problem that lots of your customers struggle with. In my business the big stumpers are getting a site that sells, finding a way to handle email, figuring out search engines, and finding low-cost ways to advertise effectively.
A course on any of these is guaranteed to bring lots of interested prospects and customers (and you can bet I'm plugging my ads here and there during the course).
Your course could be on how to complete a basement, how to avoid an IRS audit, how to give your kids straight teeth, or anything else that customers often ask about.
2. If you don't write or have time to pen your own articles, look for others who have written on the topic. It is perfectly legal to put their ideas in your own words (always proper to give them credit).
You can also quote the article. It is best to ask in advance, if your course is for commercial purposes. Start your article, then say expert Jane Doe has some valuable information. Include a few paragraphs of what Jane wrote. Be careful not to use so much you give away her entire article and spoil her ability to sell the information.
Put It On Auto Pilot
1. Offer your course as a free bonus for purchasing one of your main products or services. People will buy your products quicker when you offer a bonus.
2. When you write and give away a free course you will become known as an expert. This'll gain people's trust and they will buy your main product quicker.
3. Allow others to add your free course to their own product packages. Their customers will see your ad when they purchase.
4. People love to get freebies. A free autoresponder course is perfect. They will visit your web site to get the free valuable information.
5. Allow people to receive your course for free, if they give you the e-mail addresses of 3 to 5 friends or associates that would be interested.
6. Allow other people to give away your free course. This will increase the number of people that will see your ad in the course.
7. You could trade advertising space in your course for other forms of advertising. It could be banner ads, e-zine ads, web site ads, etc.
8. Gain new leads by having people sign up and give you their contact info before they can receive your autoresponder course.
9. Give away the autoresponder course as a free gift to your current customers as a way of letting them know you appreciate their business.
10. Give away the course to people that join your affiliate program. This will increase the number of people that sign-up.
11. Make money selling advertising space in your course. You could charge for small classified ads or sponsor ads.
12. Get free advertising by submitting your course to freebie web sites. This will increase the number of people that will see your ads in the course.
13. Make money by selling the reprint rights to those people that would like to sell the course. You could make more money by selling the master rights.
14. Hold a contest on your web site so people could win your course. You will get free advertising when you submit your contest to free contest directories.
15. You'll gain valuable referrals from people telling others about your course. Word of mouth advertising can be very effective.
16. Make money cross promoting your course with other people's products or services. This technique will double your marketing effort
17. Increase your e-zine subscribers by giving your course to people that subscribe to your e-zine. This'll give people an incentive to subscribe.
18. Allow your affiliates to use the free course as a promotional tool for your product. Each lesson could include their affiliate link.
19. Promote other businesses affiliate programs you join with your free autoresponder course. Include a different affiliate link on each lesson.
20. Advertise a different product or service on each lesson. If you only have one, use different emotional response ads on each lesson.
Giving It Away For Profit
You could offer the course in html, autoresponder, and ebook format.
HTML- Your course could be right on your web site. On one web page, create a title page and table of contents. Use clickable chapter links so they can go to the sections easily were they need the most help.
You could increase your traffic by allowing people to give away the course to their web site visitors. Just have them link to your web site.
eBOOK-Your course could be in a downloadable ebook format. Include your business ad in the ebook. A good ebook software to use is Editor Pro, you can find it at http://www.e-ditorial.com.
You could allow other people to give away the ebook. They could just upload it to their own server. Every time someone downloads it, they will see your business ad.
AUTORESPONDER-Your course could be published on an autoresponder. You can sign-up to get a free follow-up autoresponder from all the free services on the internet. You can find them by typing in "free autoresponders" in your search engine of choice. Include a lesson of your course on each follow-up message sent.
You could increase traffic by allowing advertisers to include their ad in the course. Ask them, in return, to advertise the free course at their web site. Just have them link to your web site.
There are many other formats you can use to create your free course; downloadable text, pdf, print format, fax-on-demand, cassette, video, etc. You can use all the methods above with all the formats to increase your traffic.
Autoresponders Generate Online Profit
It's much more than just increasing your traffic volume. After all, most of your visitors won't decide to purchase your products or your services when they first visit your website. But that's not to say that they won't be interested in your offer tomorrow or next week, or that they won't be interested in future offers.
Therefore, it is necessary to get your visitor's email addresses so that you can inform them of current and upcoming offers. You do this by using an opt-in system that invites them to subscribe to your mailing list. By gathering their names and email addresses, with their permission of course, you are now able to contact them periodically with information, usually by sending them an ezine as well as an occasional freebie.
There are no problems as long as you're only dealing with ten or twenty subscribers, as you could just email them individually. However, such numbers aren't going to make you many sales. You should aim for a mailing list that could reach into the thousands. That number of subscribers would make it difficult for you to prepare individual emails for each name on your list.
The basis of an ideal mailing list, therefore, is an effective autoresponder system that provides the power and flexibility to email your subscribers in a timely and efficient manner.
A mailing list of considerable size powered by a good autoresponder system consistently provides earnings for many Internet marketers. A lot of online businessmen make significant profits from their mailing lists alone.
Okay, but what is an autoresponder system? An autoresponder system is like a digital secretary. It takes care of your subscribers by providing an opt-in system that allows visitors to subscribe to your mailing list. An autoresponder system also takes care of the sending of emails to your subscriber base.
You can prepare your messages in advance, program them into the autoresponder, and preset the intervals by which the messages are delivered. You can even separate your subscribers into various groups. You could have a group for those who have not yet placed an order, for example. You could have another grouping for those who have already made a purchase. This allows you to use two different marketing approaches in dealing with each of the groups.
A good autoresponder system can help you build trust in your products or services. With a good autoresponder, you can also provide an efficient technical support program. If your subscribers email you a question about one of your products, for example, you could preset the autoresponder to reply with a general FAQ to send them the information.
Not all autoresponders are designed the same and much care should be taken in choosing the right one for your particular needs. Here are some questions you should ask before you decide on a particular autoresponder service:
* How many accounts can you create? Some business plans might
require that you have different accounts for different products.
* How many lists can you build? There are also some business plans where you might need different lists for different groups of subscribers.
* How many follow-up messages can you preset? Do you need a lot of follow-up messages or do you know yet? Quite a few autoresponder services provide for unllimited follow-ups.
* How many subscribers can the system hold? And also, how many subscribers can the system respond to?
* How much customization is allowed? You need to be able to personalize your email messages with each subscriber's name and other customizable information.
* How does the system gather subscriber information? The process should be simple and convenient; otherwise, the visitor will not subscribe.
* Will you be able to send your messages in html and text formats? Most autoresponder services allow both formats.
* Will you be able to track your subscribers for the purpose of target marketing? This my or may not be important to you.
* Is the scheduling system fully automated and flexible enough for your current and future needs?
* Is the autoresponder easy to use? Do they have a demo area so that you can try it out?
Now, does the autoresponder service you are considering provide answers to all of the above questions? If so and if it is offered at a reasonable price, then you should grab the deal as soon as you can.
Remember, if you're running an online business, a good autoresponder should be one of your primary investments. It could be the key to an excellent conversion rate, more sales and more profits.
Creative Ideas To Profit With Autoresponders
site has finally come to just what she is looking for and
is about to make a purchase. It's a sunny afternoon, and
her cat, who happens to be sitting on the moss under the
visitor's large fifty-year-old snow-rose bonsai tree,
suddenly jumps down, and the priceless tree topples over.
In the blink of an eye, your visitor exits your site, and
your sale is dust - unless you have had the foresight to
utilize an autoresponder that has captured her email
address. If you have installed an autoresponder, you can
then follow-up with her, and in all probability, make the
sale when the poor woman has finished reporting her
precious bonsai.
Autoresponders are remarkable, versatile programs that do
so much more than just automatically answer your email.
Here are a few ideas that will help you to creatively and
productively use your autoresponder to transform the casual
visitor into a profitable customer. Use your autoresponder
to:
1. Publish a newsletter. Certain quality autoresponders
will manage subscriptions and follow-up with interested
prospects. Your newsletter can keep your visitors informed
about your services or products, while building your
reputation as a credible expert in your particular
business.
2. Publish a newsletter only for your affiliates. Inform
them of current sales you are running and of promotional
material that your affiliates can use themselves to
increase their commissions. Include tips, advice, and
techniques that your affiliates can use to successfully go
out and promote your business.
3. Write reviews. Cover books, software, music, e-books,
movies, etc., and put each review in an autoresponder.
Review your affiliate programs, using a link to your
affiliate's page in your autoresponder.
4. Distribute your articles. Writing and distributing
targeted articles is a powerful tool to build your business
credibility, bring traffic to your site, and increase your
sales potential. If your articles contain valuable
information, many editors will print what is known as a
resource box for you. A resource box contains your bio and
a brief description of your service or product. It can also
contain your autoresponder address. Let's say you've
written fifty articles. Put them on separate autoresponder
accounts and create a master list that contains the titles
of each article, the autoresponder address, and a brief
abstract. Then promote your master list. Additionally,
include your publishing guidelines so your affiliates can
add their articles to your list, increasing the number of
writers who are represented in your article list.
5. Create mailing lists. Inform subscribers to your
articles when you've written new ones that they may want to
publish in their own newsletter or website.
6. Automate your sales process. Use an ad to insure
repeated exposure of your message, which has been proven to
effectively increase sales. In your ad, put your
autoresponder address where a visitor will be exposed to
numerous marketing materials. This multiplies the chances
of converting visitors into customers. For example, if
you're selling a particular product, put testimonials about
how spectacular it is on your autoresponder, and add a
detailed, enticing description of your product.
7. Distribute advertising. Let's say you sell advertising
on your website or in your newsletter or e-zine. Set your
autoresponder to send the information about rates and how
to place an ad automatically to all prospects' email
addresses. Then have your autoresponder follow-up. It can
also send notification of any special deals you are
currently offering.
8. Distribute an email course. Each day, have your
autoresponder send out another lesson. Just be sure that
each lesson has quality content - not a sales pitch. Your
content will do the selling for you, and will do it much
more effectively. You can include tips centered on a
different topic for each lesson, illustrating how your
product will benefit the reader. Include the tangible
benefits the visitor will reap by purchasing your product.
Make sure to include a paragraph or two at the end of each
lesson enticing your prospect to consider making a
purchase.
9. Automate a reminder about your service or product after
a visitor has completed your course. This will increase the
possibility of sales from visitors who have taken your
course but are dragging their feet about actually making a
purchase. You can also use these reminders to promote new
products or services, and the products and services of your
affiliate programs.
10. Distribute free reports. This gives your visitor an
idea of the type of information you can provide and the
quality of your product or service. Make sure these reports
are not sales letters or you will more than likely lose a
potential customer than gain a sale.
11. Create trivia quizzes on your site and place the
answers in an autoresponder. Your visitor will then be
motivated to request your autoresponder, and you will have
a record of the visitors' email addresses who took your
quiz. Or create a contest and have any visitors that enter
send their responses to your autoresponder. Your
autoresponder can be set-up to send them a confirmation of
their entry.
12. Offer a trial version of your product. Give your
prospects a sample of your ebook, course, software,
membership, etc. People who are exposed to a little taste
often end up wanting the whole pie. You can also capture
their email addresses when you offer them a free trial from
your website. Set up your autoresponder to give
instructions on how to obtain their free trial, and then
make sure to follow-up to try and close the sale.
13. Link to hidden pages on your autoresponder. For
example, a hidden page could be your affiliate page that
contains graphics, promotional articles, and text links
that interested affiliates can make use of. Inform visitors
that they may have free access to your affiliate page by
simply requesting your autoresponder. You will then gather
a list of visitors who may be interested in becoming your
affiliates.
14. Use an autoresponder on your order page. Post a request
form for visitors to be notified of special offers or
discounts in the future. This creates a very effective
mailing list that contains the names of people who are
already your customers.
15. Put your links page on your autoresponder. It should
contain up to fifty links that would be of particular
interest to your visitors. Make sure to add your own
promotional copy at the top or bottom of this page.
Now that you have proof that autoresponders can be used
creatively, see if you can come up with some brilliant
ideas of your own!

6. Create a frequently updated autoresponder and let your visitors and/or subscribers know about it. You can put in weekly tips or links to useful resources in the autoresponder and a reminder to the people who request it that you update it every week or on a regular basis (e.g. tell them to request for the same autoresponder again a week from now). You can use this method instead of using autoresponders with limited follow up messages.
7. If you've written 20 or more articles and you have them on separate autoresponder accounts, create a master list for your articles. In this master list, list the titles of your articles, their autoresponder addresses and their short descriptions. You can then just promote this master list.
8. Put excerpts or free chapters of your e-book, book or paid e-mail courses in an autoresponder series, then include your follow up sales letters at the end.

The Engine Explained
The engine is the heart of your car, but instead of pumping blood, the engine pumps air and fuel. The engines main function is to convert air and fuel into rotary motion so it can drive the wheels of the car. How does it do that ??.... Well let's start with a cutaway of the engine and see all the major parts then we will get into the actual mechanics.
Pistons: Most common engines have 4, 6, or 8 pistons, which move up and down in the cylinders. On the upper side of the piston is what is called the combustion chamber where the fuel and air mix before ignited. On the other side is the crankcase, which is full of oil. Pistons have rings which serve to keep the oil out of the combustion chamber and the fuel and air out of the oil.
Crankshaft: The crankshaft is connected to the pistons via a connecting rod. As the piston moves up and down in the cylinder it rotates the crankshaft and converts the straight line motion into rotary motion.
Valve train: The valve train consists of valves, rocker arms, pushrods, lifters, and the camshaft. (shown in above picture in blue, yellow, and green) The valve train's only job is that of a traffic cop. It lets air and fuel in and out of the engine at the proper time. The timing is controlled by the camshaft, which is synchronized to the crankshaft by a chain or belt.
Now that we have a general overview of the parts involved let's talk about what happens. Most automotive engine today are 4-stroke (or 4-cycle) engines, meaning they have four distinct events which make up the cycle.
· Intake stroke: The camshaft opens the intake valve and the piston moves down the cylinder. This creates vacuum and sucks in air and fuel into the combustion chamber above the piston.
· Compression stroke: As the piston starts moving back up the cylinder the intake valve closes and seals off the combustion chamber. The causes the air and fuel to compress.
· Power stroke: As the fuel is compressed and the piston nears the top of the cylinder the spark plug fires and ignites the fuel and air. This explosion pushes the piston back down the cylinder and drives the crankshaft.
· Exhaust stroke: After the piston reaches the bottom of the cylinder, the exhaust valve opens and the gasses left over from the fuel and air are sent out to the exhaust system.
Put these four events together in the above order and you have a complete cycle. Are you asleep yet? That's enough theory, let's talk about the real world and problems you might encounter with the above mentioned parts.
Pistons: Remember I talked about the rings, which seal the combustion chamber from the crankcase. The rings over time tend to wear out. When they wear they allow the fuel and air to enter into the oil and dilute it. This dilution reduces the oils ability to lubricate your engine and can cause premature wear. Also if the rings wear down they can allow oil from the crankcase to enter the combustion chambers. This will result in oil being burned and exiting your tailpipe as grayish/white smoke. If your car spews grayish white smoke and it does not go stop in the first few minutes after start-up you might have warn rings. If the smoke goes away after start-up look to the valve train section.
Crankshaft: The crankshaft rides on bearings, which can wear down over time. The bearings support the crankshaft and also the rods, which connect the pistons to the crankshaft. A loud medium pitched knocking noise in the engine points to warn bearings most of the time. This is usually a costly repair and involves removing the crankshaft and either machining the surface where the bearings ride, or replacing the entire crankshaft. To prevent this type of problem, use a high quality oil, change your oil at suggested intervals (3 months or 3000 miles is a safe number) and always maintain your oil level between oil changes.
Valve train: Remember the oil smoke problem mentioned above in the piston sections. If your car only smokes grayish/white smoke at start-up you may have leaking valve seals. Valve seals keep oil from above the valve from leaking into the combustion chamber. When they wear, they can allow oil to seep into the combustion chamber and collect there until your start the engine again. You generally do not get oil leaking past the valve seals while the engine is running since the seals expand with the heat of the engine and plug the leak.
Another common problem is the timing chain or belt will slip or even break causing the cam shaft to stop rotating. Remember the camshaft tells the valves when to open and if it stops spinning then the valves stop opening and closing. No valve moving, no engine running :-)
A term you will here when talking about timing chains and belts is "interference engine". When an engine is an "interference engine" the pistons and valves are so close together that if the valves were to stop moving (broken belt or chain) and the crankshaft kept spinning they would crash into the piston. (that's the interference) This crash tends to do bad things to an engine, breaking valve, bending pushrods, and even cracking pistons. This is why most manufacturers recommend changing the timing chain or belt every 60,000 miles. Timing belts dry out, stretch and deteriorate over time so even if you do not have 60,000 miles on the car think about changing the belt after it's 6 years old.
Preventive Maintenance:
· Change your oil regularly.
· Give your engine a chance to warm up before driving if possible. Let the oil get into all parts of the engine before driving. This is even more critical in cooler temperatures when the oil is cold and sluggish.
· Change your timing belt or chain at your manufacturer's recommended interval.
· void "snake oil" additives advertised on late night TV. Regular oil changes and good maintenance habits will keep your engine running it's best.
· If you have a turbo charged engine, give the engine a minute or two cool down before turning it off. This cool down period allows oil to circulate and cool down the bearings. If you shut off the engine immediately after hard driving, the oil can gum up around the hot bearings and create problems down the road.
What to discuss with your mechanic:
· If you have to replace your engine, discuss the benefits of buying used versus new. If you plan on keeping your car for some time, a new engine might be the best bet. Sometimes new engines are not much more expensive than rebuilt ones, and offer the best solution.
· When trying to diagnose engine noises, be as descriptive as possible. Take note to when the noise occurs; at what throttle position, and when the noise started occurring. Sometimes changing the weight of oil being used can cause a new noise to crop up. Make sure you mechanic knows if you changed oil brands or weight recently.
